Our activities in bwindi
This Gorilla tracking activity begins at 8:30 in the morning and may last the entire day.you are allowed to spend only one hour with the Gorillas on meeting them. Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi is tiresome and as a result tourists are advised to be in good physical shape and bring jungle boots as well as rain jackets with them since the forest is constantly wet
But after bush-bashing your way through the scrub, you’ll come across a gorilla family, peacefully playing in a forest clearing. Your trekking guides and rangers will have prepared you for what to expect. There’s no direct interaction with the gorillas (unless one moves past you), but you may get pretty close. You’ll have a good 45 minutes to an hour to just sit and observe these animals in their natural habitat. We promise it’s something you’ll never ever forget.
PLEASE NOTE: All gorilla trekking permits are officially sold only at the head offices of Uganda Wildlife Authority in Kampala and just 8 gorilla permits each day being sold for every one of the Two Gorilla groups. Prior booking of a minimum of 3 months earlier is advised to prevent losing out. (Pease contact us early for your booking in time).
It is only in Uganda that you can be with a Mountain Gorilla Family for 4 hours on a Gorilla Habituation Experience along with researchers in Bwindi’s Impenetrable Forest – this is amazing experience – to be with a Mountain Gorilla Family as it is being habituated.
